Gloria Filsinger

Gloria Filsinger, 70, of Sandusky, passed away early Sunday morning, March 24, 2013, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.
Gloria was born, August 13, 1942, in Norwalk, to Leroy and Clara (Sparks) Clayton.
Gloria was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sandusky. She was an avid volunteer for Erie County Senior Center for several years, earning an award in 2010 for over 500 volunteer hours. In her spare time, Gloria enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
Gloria is survived by her lifelong companion of 38 years, Bud Young; her daughter, Linda (Robb) Parthemore; two sons, Don (Anita) Cornish, Mike (Jodi) Filsinger; seven grandchildren, Nathan, Macie, Molly, Emily, Ashley, Ariana, and Natasha; one great-grandchild, Aubrey; and two siblings, Bob Hemmer and Donna (Kenneth) Bly; and other family members.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Sandy Hemmer.
Friends may call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Bishop William Reel will officiate the service. Burial will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
