Lauren Wolfe

Lauren Wolfe, 94, of Bellevue, died Thursday, March 21, 2013, in The Willows.
He was born in Bellevue on July 15, 1918, to Clayton and Ethel (Engler) Wolfe.
Lauren graduated from York High School in 1936. He was a self-employed general contractor for many years. In his retirement he was a clock repairman.
During World War II, he served in the army with the 756th Tank Battalion in Germany.
On January 26, 1940, he married Elverna Downing. She preceded him in death on March 31, 2006.
Survivors include their son, Wayne Wolfe of Baltimore, Md.; brother, Paul Wolfe of Bellevue; and sister, Eileen Meyer of Bellevue.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 28, at the funeral home with the Rev. Diane Carter officiating. Burial will be in Flat Rock/Bishop Seybert Cemetery with military rites provided by the Bellevue American Legion, VFW, and Four Co. Marines.
Memorials may be made to the Mad River RR Museum.
