Christy Sue (Thompson) Missler, 56, of Bellevue, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 in Cleveland Clinic.
She was born May 6, 1956, in Marion, Ohio, daughter of Louise (French) Thompson and the late James Marion Thompson.
Christy worked at NASA Plum Brook Station as an administrative assistant, and also worked at Ohio Veterans Home as a secretary. She was a graduate of Margaretta High School, and Lorain Business College.
Christy was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue.
Christy also had her own business, Christy’s Creations, which specialized in wedding flowers. She enjoyed many creative activities including making dolls. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She loved animals and enjoyed her pets.
Christy is survived by her husband, James Missler; her daughter, Brandy (Jason) Bennett; her mother, Louise Thompson; two grandchildren, Britain and Ireland Bennett; brothers, James (Christie) Thompson and Robert (Portia) Thompson; a special aunt, Sheila French; and an aunt, Shirley French.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Edith Jane (Clouch) Thompson; her father, James Marion Thompson; nephews, James M. Thompson and Doug Arnold; and a special uncle, Roy French.
Friends will be received 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral mass, officiated by the Rev. Jonathan Wight, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
