F. Lucille Butizer

F. Lucille Butizer, 89, of Tiffin, and formerly of Bettsville, Ohio, passed away Saturday morning, March 16, 2013, in St. Francis Home.
She was born Sept. 30, 1923, to William and Florence (Turney) Cochran. On May 4, 1942, she married Ellis C. Butzier in Napoleon, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 2000.
Survivors include son, Jim (Kathy) Butzier of Powell, Ohio; four daughters, Donna (Ron) Clingman of Fostoria, Ohio, Karen (Gus) Hoffman of Huron, Deanna (Bill) LaLone of Tiffin, Cynthia (Rick) Trumbo of Britton, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; infant daughter, Nancy Lee Butzier; five brothers, Harold, Bob, Earl, Turney, and John Cochran; three sisters, Hazel Steinmetz, Helen Dicken, Kate Rodgers; and a grandson, Craig Michael Hoffman.
Lucille was a member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church for many years and a Sunday school teacher at the Methodist church in Kansas, Ohio. She was the best cook, enjoyed gardening, and her children and grandchildren meant everything to her. Lucille’s smile and hugs to anyone will be sadly missed. The family would like to thank everyone at Elmwood at the Shawhan for the compassion and care and St. Francis Home for allowing her to keep her cat Callie.
Friends may visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, at the funeral home, with Rev. Donna Van Tress officiating. Burial will follow in Kansas Cemetery next to her husband.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Stein Hospice.
