Norman A. “Scott” Weilnau, 90, of Monroeville, passed away late Friday afternoon, March 15, 2013, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
Norman was born Dec. 31, 1922, in Oxford Township, son of the late Carl and Hulda (Leber) Weilnau. He was a graduate of Milan High School. He was a dairyman and long time farmer until he retired in 1984.
Norman was a member of St. John’s UCC, The Farm Bureau, and the Turnpike Neighbors Council. In his spare time Scott enjoyed dart ball and pinochle.
Norman is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Bonnie Lee (Mann) Weilnau; his three sons, John “Joe” (Bonnie), Scotty and Tom Weilnau; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Strong and Joyce Adams; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Along with his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his two brothers, Lawrence and Howard Weilnau.
Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 18, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1 S. Main St., Milan, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, until a service at 11 a.m. at St. John’s UCC, 2712 Mason Road, Milan. Pastor Wendy Schindler-Chasney will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
