Marian G. (Honderd) Gray, 87, of Sandusky, passed away early Thursday morning, March 14, 2013 at Stein Hospice Care Center.
Marian was born Aug. 25, 1925, in Grand Rapids, Mich., son of the late Simon and Dena (Bos) Honderd.
Marian was a lifetime member of St. Stephens United Church of Christ in Sandusky. In her spare time Marian enjoyed reading, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren. Sunday dinner at Marian's home was a standing tradition and everyone was welcome. She was known as a kind, gentle and sweet lady to all.
Marian is survived by a son, Steven (Barb Mazur) Gray, of Sandusky; four daughters, Debbie (Tom) Cooper, of Las Vegas, Diane Harder, of Sandusky, Pam (Brian) Goff, of Huron, and Kim ( John Ludu) Ludu, of Pt. Clinton; five grandchildren, Bill and Bob Harder, Justin and Jessie Goff, and Dana Ludu; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Howard Gray, in 2003; her parents; two brothers, Howard Honderd and Gordon Muscott; and her son-in-law, Thomas Harder, in 1997.
Friends may call 1-5 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Private family funeral services will be Monday at Meadow Green Memorial Park. Pastor Jerald Fenske will officiate.
