Kacey Aleah Prophet

Oct 22, 2003 - Mar 6, 2013

Kacey Aleah Prophet, 9, of Fort Mill, S.C. was called home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2013.
Kacey was born on Oct. 22, 2003, in Bedford, Ohio, to Derrick and Dionne (Land) Prophet. She attended Riverview Elementary School in Fort Mill.
Kacey was diagnosed in infancy with a very rare mitochondrial disorder and given a life expectancy of six months. She surpassed all odds and overcame many obstacles in her life. She was a precious child who was filled with the love of God. She enjoyed attending church at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly and singing praises to the Lord. Kacey experienced frequent angelic visitations while here on earth and it was truly a blessing to be able to witness the joy she received while being entertained by her angels. She loved listening to music and she would sing or hum to her heart’s content. She also enjoyed being outdoors and hearing the sounds of nature.
Kacey gave her family a lifetime of love during her short time here on earth. She touched many lives with her beautiful smile and sweet countenance. She is remembered as being pure, lovable, adorable, innocent and angelic.
She received her assignment from heaven and remained a willing, committed vessel until the end of her life’s journey here on earth. She finished her race well and was truly a great example of God’s perfect handiwork.
Kacey leaves to mourn her death, yet also cherish her memory, her grandmother, Leora Land of Sandusky; parents, Derrick and Dionne Prophet; brother, Derrick Prophet; sister, Deaisha Prophet, all of Fort Mill; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Joe Land; and her paternal grandparents, Lawrence Prophet and Gladys (Alexander) Prophet.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be noon Friday at Victory Temple, 1619 W. Strub Rd, Sandusky. Rev. Lonnie Walters will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
