Dwayne P. Skinner, 82, of Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 6, 2013, in Stein Hospice Care Center following a lengthy illness.
Skip was born July 1, 1930, in Willard, son of the late Elmer and Elizabeth (Elliott) Skinner. He retired from New Departure where he was employed for 44 years.
He was a member of the Huron Eagles, Sandusky AMVETS and UAW Local 913. Skip enjoyed fishing, golf, dartball, shuffleboard and reading. He loved his “Faithful K9 Companion” Dusty.
Skip is survived by his four children, Brenda (Bo) Montgomery, Linda (Bob) Oddo, Cindy Barrett and Dan (Kim) Skinner; seven grandchildren, Laurie, Ronnie, Kelly, Brandon, Ann, Joe and Jeffrey; and his special friend, Ann Spadaro.
Including his parents, Skip was preceded in death by his siblings and a grandson, Jason, in 1982.
A private family service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, Sandusky.
