Clyde A. Plue Jr., 80, of Berlin Heights, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, in McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, Mich.
He was born March 26, 1932, in Berlin Heights. He had lived in Pymatuning State Park in Ohio and with his daughter in Naubinway, Mich., for more than 15 years. He was a graduate of Berlin Heights High School. He served in the U.S. Navy. Clyde worked for Ford Motor Company in Sandusky for more than 30 years.
Clyde was an avid fisherman and enjoyed all sporting events.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia (Payne); his daughter, Laurie (Tim) Wyse, of Naubinway; sons, Daniel, of Naubinway, Wilson (Tammy), of Brimfield, Mass., Warren “Scott” (Lachelle), of Olivet, Mich., Ken (Kelly), of Greenwich, and Richard, of Toledo; a daughter-in-law, Heather, of Milan; 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Zellner, of Berlin Heights; a brother, Terry Plue, of Berlin Heights; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde F. and Cleo B. (Witter) Plue; a sister, Carol Nottke; and brothers, Larry and Kenneth Plue.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 4, at Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South St., Berlin Heights, where services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5. Pastor Tim Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Berlin Heights.
