Bob Elliott, 71, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 29, 1941, in Port Clinton t, son of Evalyn (Knox) and the late Dorman Elliott. Bob was a 1961 graduate of Sandusky High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who proudly served his country from 1962-65. He was employed as an automotive mechanic at Maag’s for almost 50 years retiring at the age of 62.
Bob was a member of Remember Cruisin's Car Club and the Sandusky American Legion. He loved collecting cars, both models and the real thing. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting guns, going to car shows, and spending time with his buddies.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Elliott, of Columbus; mother, Evalyn (Knox) Elliott, of Vermilion; sister, Sandy (George) Keller, of Bellevue; sisters-in-law, Jennifer (David) Bursiel of Jacksonville, Fla., and Judy Kent, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Susan (Brown) Elliott, and his father.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, until memorial services at 7 p.m. at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave., Sandusky.
