Kerry A. Myers, 61, of Clyde and formerly a longtime resident of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, in his home.
He was born June 1, 1951, in Sandusky, son of the late Ralph and Ethelyn (Kaufman) Myers. Kerry graduated from Perkins High School in 1969, and worked for Erie County as an engineering technician, retiring in 2003.
He loved steam engines, attending National Threshers Association reunions, collectable firearms, antiques, and spending time with his two daughters, Kate and Diane.
Kerry is survived by his daughters, Kate (Eric) Churchill, of Columbus, and Diane (Justin Toft) Myers, of Sandusky; sisters, Judy (Dave) Deehr, of Milan, Tammy (Doug) Lapp, of Vermilion, and Lori (Casey) Cottrill, of Canal Winchester, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Myers; and sister, Wendy Myers.
Friends may call from 4 p.m.Wednesday, March 6, until a memorial services at 5:30 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Chaplain Mel Sayler will officiate. Private burial will take place at a later date in Bloomingville Cemetery, Oxford Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the National Threshers Association, c/o 20550 Carter Road, Bowling Green, OH 43402.
