Edward Philip “Phil” Fitch IV, 71, of Sandusky, passed away Friday morning, Feb. 22, 2013, after a courageous battle with leukemia. Phil spent his life sailing his dreams and never regretted a single moment.

He worked for 41 years at Bethlehem Steel, piloting Great Lakes vessels, and retired in 2001.
He was a past member of both the American Legion Post 83, and the International Shipmasters Association, and a current member of the Maritime Museum. An avid fisherman, Phil also loved staying abreast of marine traffic. Most of all, he cherished time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his special aunt and uncle, Francis and Arthur McGory.
At Phil’s request, there will be no viewing. Private family services will be held following cremation.
