After a lengthy illness, Donald L."Mickey" Belle went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013.
He was born Dec. 7, 1955, in Sandusky. He was the third child of Evans and Lois (Graves) Belle. He graduated in 1973 from Sandusky High School. Mickey lived and worked in Cincinnati for more than 30 years. He was employed by Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority as a purchaser.
Mickey enjoyed drawing, dancing, skating and entertaining friends and family. He was especially fond of traveling and his dog, Cloud.
He is survived by his daughter, Leta N. Page, and grandchildren, Jalevion (Jay) and Aubri, all of Sandusky; mother, Lois Belle, of Charlotte, N.C.; brothers, Terry Belle, of Columbus, Richard (Toyia) Belle, of Orlando, Fla., Kim "Stevie" Belle, of Charlotte, N.C., and David (Lisa) Belle, of Cincinnati; sisters, Deborah (Cass Sr.) Johnson and Tonya Belle, of Erie, Pa., Cheri Belle, of Cleveland, Leslie (Phillip) Saunders, of Columbus, Jodi (Roy) Raimer and Joyce Belle, of Charlotte; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Evans Belle.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at St. Stephen AME Church, 312 Neil St., Sandusky.
