Zetta M. Taylor, 84, of Sandusky, passed away early Monday morning, Feb. 18, 2013, in Providence Care Center, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 22, 1928, in Elizabethton, Tenn., to Harry and Sally (Capps) Fender.
Zetta retired from Westvaco after more than 30 years of employment. She was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sandusky. In her spare time, Zetta enjoyed country music, watching television, and spending time with her family.
Zetta is survived by her son, Robert (Becky) Taylor; two daughters, Susan (Mike) Weaver, and Barbara (Chris) Capucini; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Including her parents, Zetta was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Taylor in 1992; her children, Carl in ’92, Jimmy in ’02, and Melissa in infancy; her brothers, James, Glenn, Dean, and Zade Fender; and sisters, Bea Rogers, and Jean Orton.
Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Groff funeral Home and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the funeral home. Entombment will take place at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
