Robert P. Dick, 84, of Bellevue, died in the Bellevue Care Center on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013.
Robert was born April 28, 1928, in Bellevue, to Alfred J. and Verena (Gerber) Dick. He graduated from Carthagena High School and St. Joseph College.
Robert was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. For over 30 years Bob worked at A. Schulman, retiring as a supervisor. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Mad River & NKP Railroad Society, and Nickel Plate Historical and Technical Society. He volunteered many hours at the Sorrowful Mother Shrine.
On June 25, 1950, he married Roselene Jacobs. She survives, along with their two children, Laurie (Michael) Williamson, and R. Rodney Dick, all of Bellevue; three grandchildren, Jeremy Williamson and Kaley and Kendell Dick, all of Bellevue; one brother, F.J. (Mary Jane) Dick of Bellevue; and one sister, Kathleen Linehan of Geneva, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellevue, with military rites provided by the Bellevue VFW, American Legion and the Marine Corps League.
Memorials may be made to the Sorrowful Mother Shrine or the Mad River Railroad Society.
