Daniel D. Fifield, 38, of Castalia, died Monday night, Feb. 11, 2013, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus.
He was born Aug. 28, 1974, in Sandusky and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1992. He was a firefighter and EMT for Margaretta Fire Dept, and later became a fulltime 911 dispatch for the fire department.
Dan loved to ride his ATV and play with his dog. He was very passionate for antique cars, owning a 1956 Ford Truck. He was an avid gun enthusiast.
He is survived by his son, Tyler Daniel Fifield; parents, Robert and Donna (Woolf) Fifield, of Castalia; grandmother, Joyce Woolf; brother, Robert Fifield, of Castalia; nephew, Garrett Fifield; and several aunts and uncles.
Dan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Don Woolf; paternal grandparents Jack and Pat Gerold; and uncle Tim Woolf.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14. The Rev. Philip Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
