Ralph David Rogers, 89, of Clyde, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, in The Gardens in Clyde.
Ralph was born April 6, 1923, in Fremont to the now deceased Elza "Kise" and Gladys Augusta (Krauss) Rogers. He graduated from Clyde High School in 1941.
Mr. Rogers was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde; the American Legion and a life member of the VFW. He was also a member of the U.S. LST ( Landing Ship Tank) Assoc. and the Clyde Heritage League.
For many years he had owned and operated the former Baldulf Bakery in Clyde.
On Sept.15, 1945, he married his childhood sweetheart, Betty Mae Miller, and she preceded him in death.
Their son, Clifford Rogers and Ralph's sister, Helen Dagg, have preceded him in death also.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. The Rev. Gerhardt Gosnell will officiate. Burial, with military rites provided by the Clyde VFW and American Legion, will follow the service at McPherson Cemetery.
