James Disbrow, 92, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly late Wednesday night, Feb. 6, 2013, at his residence.
James was born Aug. 6, 1920, in Sandusky, son of the late Arthur and Carrie Disbrow.
James was a U.S. Naval veteran of World War II. He was employed as an electrician at New Departure Hyatt for 34 years.
He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed ice fishing. He also enjoyed watching OSU sports, and boating.
James is survived by his wife of 71 years, Betty (Summers), whom he married in 1941; and his son, Robert, of McKinney, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jane Disbrow; his parents; and his grandson, Robert Jr.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at at Oakland Cemetery. Groff Funeral Homes-Sandusky Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
