Anna Greene, 87, of Bellevue, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, in Bellevue Care Center.
She was born March 21, 1925, in Avery, Ohio, to Albert and Ruth (Reamer) Doerner. She married Robert E. Greene on May 24, 1947, in Milan and he preceded her in death in 1989.
Anna attended Milan Schools. She was employed by Bellevue City Schools as a cook and custodian until her retirement in 1969.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, and Clyde VFW. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and bird watching.
She is survived by her son, Ronald (Rose) Greene, of Bellevue; daughter, Sheree (Tom) Beckman, of Bellevue; granddaughters, Carrie A. (Brandon) Buchanan, of Wakeman, and Megan (Scott) Hall, of California; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Buchanan, Gavyn Hall and Coltyn Wyatt Hall; one brother, Kenneth Doerner, of Sandusky; one sister, Rosella Williams, of Sandusky; and sister-in-law, Doris Geiger, of Bellevue.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, John “Jackie” Doerner; parents; brothers, Walter, Carl and Charles Doerner; and an infant brother, George.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, until a funeral service at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest St., Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
