Charles Lee Kaman Sr., 76, of Sandusky, passed away on Sunday morning, Feb. 3, 2013, in his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born Aug. 13, 1936, in Sandusky, son of the late Charles William and Louise (Alt) Kaman. Charles was a lifelong resident of Sandusky. He was retired from New Departure Hyatt.
He loved motorcycles, guitars, music and woodworking.
Charles is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margie (Rider) Kaman; children, Jody (Herbert) Lynch, of Castalia, Lori Kaman and Lonnie (Gena) Kaman, of Sandusky, Charles Kaman Jr., of Cleveland, and Charlotte Kaman, of Florida; grandchildren, Nick Fee, Sara Didion, Mandy Lynch, Chuck Kaman, Adam Kaman and Brittany Kaman; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Kaman; sister, Darlene Kaman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Billy Jack Kaman; granddaughter, Heather Lynch Jackson; great-grandchildren, Celina and Little Wayne Jackson; and brother, Marvin Kaman.
At Charles’ request, services for his family were private. Cremation took place in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Condolences may be shared with the family at toftfh.com.
