Jessie Ronald Caldwell, 58, of Catawba Island, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his loving family, after a extended illness.
Jessie was born Aug. 9, 1954, in Kingsport, Tenn., to R. C. and Gladys (Mullins) Caldwell. He graduated from Douglas Bennett High School in Kingsport and moved to Port Clinton in 1974.
On July 18, 1999, in Port Clinton, he married Vicky Pollard and she survives.
Jessie worked as a heavy equipment operator for LaFarge Quarry on Kellys Island. Prior to that he drove truck for Heineman Distributors for 10 years.
Jessie enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, camping and traveling. He especially loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Vicky Caldwell; daughter, Amanda Caldwell; sons, Trinity Caldwell, Troy Caldwell and Clint Caldwell; stepsons, Tony Neff, Dean Neff, Brian Neff and Mike Neff; granddaughters, Cara Caldwell and Kayle Welter; grandsons, Justin Caldwell, J.C. Caldwell, Blake Barker and Noah Caldwell; nine stepgrandchildren; sister, Diane Caldwell; and several cousins. Jessie was preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Jessie's life will be 1-3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton.
Memorial donations in memory of Jessie may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
