Robert L. Brown, 85, of Norwalk, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
He was born March 21, 1927, in Norwalk, son of the late Henry and Olive (Ott) Brown and was a lifelong resident.
He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church; the American Legion in North Fairfield, Monroeville and Norwalk; and Monroeville Knights of Columbus, Eagles Club and the Conservation Club.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific. He retired from New Departure in Sandusky and enjoyed his livestock, farming and playing cards.
He is survived by his brother and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Ruth Brown and Helen Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul E. Brown and Edward Brown; and sisters, Adeline Kluding and Marie Raftery.
Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church . The Rev. William Pifher, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
