Denise Lynn Waterbury, 40, of Vermilion, died suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013.
Denise was born July 6, 1972, in Amherst and was a life long Vermilion resident. She worked as a registered nurse for Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky. She had also worked for Reisz Tool in Elyria as a machinist.
She was a member of Harbourtown Community Church in Vermilion. She enjoyed playing tennis, soccer and softball. Denise also enjoyed riding her motorcycle, weekend trips and spending time with her daughter, friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Nabilah Al-Talmimi, of Vermilion; mother and stepfather, Barbara and Robert Neiding, of Vermilion; brother, Mike (Dawn) Waterbury, of Amherst; sister, Carol Godshall, of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Waterbury in 2001.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, until a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South St., Vermilion. The Rev. Heidi Strickler will officiate.
