Trena J. Cook, 76, of Monroeville, Ohio, died early Monday morning, Jan. 28, 2013, in the Willows of Bellevue.
She was born March 21, 1936, in Bellevue, to Wilbur J. and Agnes Elizabeth (Fields) Pittenger, and was a lifelong area resident. She was a longtime member of Zion Episcopal Church, Monroeville. She was a member of Tops, and card club. Trena had worked at Fashion Bug, Norwalk. She enjoyed knitting, reading, crossword puzzles, bingo, and she especially enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandma.
She is survived by her children, Richard L. and Christina Cook of Fremont, Ohio, Michael D. and MeShelle Cook of Wakeman, Ohio, Ronald A. and Patti Cook of Burton, Ohio, John R. and Lalrimawii Cook of India, William S. and Kelly of Wakeman, Tracy and Michael Amstutz of Apple Creek, Ohio, and Mindy and Jason Kamann of Monroeville; 27 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-law, Holly and Merle Gates of Los Palos, N.M.
Trena was preceded in death by her husband, Richard B. Cook, in 2004; and sister, Sharon Fawcett.
Friends may call 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 87 W. Main St., Norwalk. Rev. Margaret D'Anieri will officiate. Entombment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
