David N. "Harley Dave" Hupfer, 55, of Huron, formerly of Lorain, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, in Mercy Regional Medical Center following complications from a long battle with diabetes.
David was born in Lorain, Ohio, on Oct. 12, 1957, the son of Donald and Beverly C. (Zunt) Hupfer, both surviving and of Huron.
He was a graduate of Edison High School and a U.S. Army Air Force veteran, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He worked as an aircraft jet engine technician at Dana Corp., Texas, until failing health forced his retirement in 2010.
David was a member of the Hogs Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed music, playing pool, drag racing, cars, motorcycles, watching the "Little Rascals" television show, keeping in contact with his friends on Facebook and playing poker online.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by brothers, Perry A. Hupfer of Lewiston, Maine, Douglas S. (Lisa) Hupfer of Parma, Ohio, and Dennis J. Hupfer of Norwalk.
A Celebration of his Life is being planned for a later date.
