Brenda C. Violette, 62, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Saturday afternoon, Jan. 26, 2013, in Stein Hospice Care Center following a battle with cancer.
Brenda was born May 2, 1950, in Sandusky , daughter of the late James Hammond Horton and Jeanne Dahm.
She was a 1968 graduate of Sandusky High School and spent 46 years of dedicated service at Firelands Regional Medical Center, most recently as the director of the Medical Staff Offices.
Brenda loved boating, visiting the Islands, shopping, watching football and NASCAR, and was an avid lover of reading books.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 17 years, James; her daughter, Melissa (Scott) Schlessman, of Huron; her grandchildren, Michael and Jaylee Jordan; her two sisters, Rhonda (Gary) Weiss, of Wisconsin, and Cindy Flynn, of Florida; stepbrother, David Dahm, of Bellevue; and her beloved dog Daisy.
Including her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brothers, Blaine and Brian; her maternal grandparents, Harold and Esther Friedman; and her stepfather, James Dahm.
Friends may call on Tuesday, January 29 from 3pm to 7 pm at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio.
