Michael A. Gorsuch, 53, of Wakeman, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 in Metro Health Medical Center, Cleveland, following a brief illness.
He was born Oct. 26, 1959, in Cleveland and was a graduate of James A. Garfield High School. Michael was a U. S. Army veteran, serving from 1981-84. He was a member of the Company A, “War Dogs” 6th Battalion, 32d Armor , 4th Infantry Division, serving in Germany. He was employed at various manufacturing plants.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley A. Gorsuch, of Sandusky; six siblings, Carl (Melanie) Gorsuch, of Lorain, Henry (Mary) Gorsuch, of New London, Sharlene Irwin, of Wakeman, and Charlotte Graham, John Gorsuch and Thomas Gorsuch, all of Sandusky; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert M. Gorsuch in 2000 and one brother, Robert M. Gorsuch Jr. in 2001.
Memorial Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, with the Rev. Lonnie Walters officiating.
