Andrew H. Baker, 75, of Marblehead, passed away early wednesday evening, Jan. 23, 2013.
Retired from AEP, Andy was employed as an engineer for 40 years.
An Army veteran, he enjoyed a life of service that included numerous coaching roles through his children's school years, Millersport Lions Club, treasurer for the Marblehead Lighthouse Society as well as volunteering at Magruder Hospital.
In addition to his wife, he loved his horses, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, his children, his grandchildren and helping anyone and everyone in need.
He was a devoted and loving husband for 54 years and is survived by his wife, Kay; his son, Andrew, daughter-in-law, Hazel, and their son, AJ; their daughter, Amber Workman, and her husband, Nathan; his daughter, Dru Moore, son-in-law, Eddie, and their daughter, Lauren Connell, and her husband, Bryan; their daughter, Cortney Hamill and her husband, Russ; their son, Matt, daughter-in-law, Michele, and their son, Cole; and brother, Phil.
He was an irreplacable husband, father, grandfather and friend that was dearly loved and will be dearly missed. With a twinkle in his eye, his infectious smile and wholehearted laugh, he touched every person he met.
A Life Celebration will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Grace Baptist Church, 4650 E. Port Clinton Eastern Road, Port Clinton.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Marblehead Lighthouse Society.
