Ann E. (Ciresi) Maroni, formerly of Sandusky, passed away Dec. 28, 2012, in Mesa, Ariz., after a brief illness.
She was one of ten children of James and Frances (Serio) Ciresi. Ann worked as a waitress at several area restaurants. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, casino trips, and making cookies and crafts.
Ann is survived by her children, Judy (Thomas) Schwerer of Sandusky, Ralph Maroni of Arizona, Kenneth (Patricia) Maroni of New York, Rose M. Duskin of Bellevue; grandchildren, Susan (James) Shickley of Sandusky, Wesley Fletcher of Bellevue, Lauren (Josh) Dubs of New York, Marina Duskin of Berea, Ohio, and Karen Maroni of Arizona; special nephew and niece, Joe and Julie Ciresi of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marino J. Maroni, in 1969; daughter, Donna Jean, in 1943; her parents; and all her siblings.
There will be no visitation. A Family Greeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church Gathering Space, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. A funeral mass will follow at 10 a.m. at the church, Rev. Joe Steinbauer officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Sandusky.
