Shirley Agnes (Dwelle) Burggraf, 77, formerly of Sandusky and residing in Tulare, Calif., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, surrounded by the love of her family at the Tulare Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Sandusky, on April 8, 1935, to Agnes (Stierhoff) and Harold Dwelle. She moved to southern California where she later settled in Artesia, Calif., in 1956, to raise a family. In 1994, she moved to Tulare, to be closer to family.
Shirley was a daycare provider for 25 years until she retired. She enjoyed ceramics, word puzzles and spending time with her family.
She was a beloved mother to William Burggraf of Davis, Calif., Kay ( Matt) Varns of Surprise, Ariz., Kathy (Joe) Cordeiro of Tulare, and Robert (Doreen) Burggaf of Chandler, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Including her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Burggraf.
Friends may call 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Meadow Green Memorial Park Chapel, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the chapel. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband and parents at Meadow Green Memorial Park.
