Evelyn Mae Boehler

Evelyn Mae Boehler, 84, of Monroeville , passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, in Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk, following a lengthy illness. 

Evelyn was born May 11, 1928, in Milan, daughter of the late Edward and Madeline (Smith) Romell. She was a graduate of Milan High School and lived in the area all her life. She was a homemaker and worked at various places throughtout her life.

She was an avid walker, especially at the beach where she loved to go shelling. Evelyn loved traveling to Colorado, working in the garden and most of all, spending time with her family. She will be missed deeply and thought of often. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Monroeville.

Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Richard Boehler; four children, Linda (Donald) Wangler, of Monroeville, Sally (Jeff) Arnold, of Windsor, Colo., Brian Boehler, of Norwalk, and Bradley (Tammy) Boehler, of Windsor; grandchildren, Kristen Cameron, of Norwalk, Darren Wangler, of Monroeville, Derek Arnold, of Bozeman, Mont., Danelle Arnold, of Denver, and Caleb Boehler and Michaela Boehler, of Windsor; great grandchildren, Caitlen, Austin, Gavin and Macen; five brothers, Robert (Lou) Romell, of Milan, Richard (Maryanne) Romell, of Huron, Harold (Kathy) Romell, of Norwalk, Tom (Patty) Romell, of Norwalk, and Jim Romell, of Sandusky; sister-in-law, Bobbi Romell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Boehler; sisters, Catherine Weilnau and Madeline Gwirtz; and brothers, John Romell and Donald Romell.

Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe St., Monroeville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 W. Broad St., Monroeville. The Rev. Dr. Amy Little will officiate.
