Ruth S. Perruchon, 92, of Kelleys Island, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013.
Ruth was born Feb. 2, 1920, on Kelleys Island, daughter of the late Carl and Laura (Martin) Seeholzer. Ruth spent the majority of her life on Kelleys Island, where she owned her own beauty salon and later worked in several of the island restaurants.
Ruth was a member of St. Michaels Church, St. Michaels Alter and Rosary Society and VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Avon Lake, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Hops"; son, Ned; daughter, Carol Cumbow; sisters, Mary and Rita Betzenheimer, Alice Olwill and Dawn Kekelik; and brother, Lyle Seeholzer.
She is survived by her son, William (Michael) Perruchon, of Zionsville, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Laura Jean Pohorence, of Kelleys Island, Coletta (Dale) Walters, of Elyria, and Shirley (Leo) Schreiner, of Republic; brother Robert(Jean) Seeholzer, of Sandusky; and niece, Nancy (Steve Easton) Olwill, of Stow, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. June 1, at St. Michaels Church, Kelleys Island. Inurnment will be at Kelleys Island Cemetery.
