Anne Coleman Phillips, 85, of Lynchburg, Va., went to be with her Lord on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013.
Born Thursday, July 21, 1927, in Lynchburg, Anne was a daughter of the late Addison B. Coleman and the late Annie Pearson Coleman.
Anne is survived by three daughters, Pat Eubank, Peggy P. Pritchett and her husband, Wayland, and Penny P. Tolley and her husband, Steve; four grandchildren, Troy Stanley and his wife, Karen, Casey P. Bourne and her husband, Geoffrey, and Amy Tolley and Matt Tolley; two great-grandchildren, Kate and Heather Stanley; a sister, Ruby C. Tyree; two brothers, Carl E. Coleman and his wife, Daphne, and Milton D. Coleman; two sisters-in-law, Dot Coleman and Liz Coleman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Abe Coleman; two sisters, Jeanette Hogan and Nancy C. Snow; and a sister-in-law, Lois M. Coleman.
Anne was a loving mother and grandmother. She especially loved her grandchildren. Anne was retired from General Electric, where she worked for more than 30 years.
The family will receive friends 11 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, and at other times at the residence of Anne’s daughter, Pat Eubank. A celebration of Anne's life will be at noon Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory. Wayland Pritchett and Clay Harvey will officiate. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
