Charlotte G. Young, age 75, of Berlin Heights, passed away on Jan. 7, 2013, in Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.
She was born on March 31, 1937, in Wheelersburg, Ohio, and lived in Berlin Heights for over 50 years. She worked for GTE in Norwalk for 30 years and also for Providence and Firelands Hospitals for 20 years. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of over 59 years Herman “Red” Young Jr.; mother Jospehine Chaffee-Leber of Norwalk; children, Linda (Mark) Hunter of Indianapolis, Ind., Ron (Joyce) Young of Berlin Heights, Connie (Robert) Ray of Louisville, Ky., Cheryl (Terry) Hall of Collins, Ohio, Herman (Cindy) Young III of Norwalk, Darryl Young of Berlin Heights, and Rebecca Young of Hurricane, W.Va.; sisters, Betty Keller of Sandusky, and Juanita (Frank) Huss of Twinsburg, Ohio; brothers, James (Sharon) Duskin of Clyde, Roy (Cathy) Duskin of Norwalk, and Kenneth Chaffee of Vermilion; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thurman Duskin.
Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South St., Berlin Heights. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at the funeral home, Rev. James McClain of the Calvary Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Berlin Heights.
