Don’t be sad, smile and rejoice, Chance is now dancing with angels. No more pain, and no wheel chair, he wants us all to smile, be happy and dance.
Chance Peat, 38, residing in Bay View, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 2, 2013, in Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
Chance was born June 26, 1974, in Elyria, and was a 1993 graduate of Sandusky High School.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He was a data entry specialist for R.E.M. in Port Clinton.
Chance is survived by his parents, Drew Peat and Michelle (Terry) Horning; his brother, Andrew (Vicci) Peat; niece, Kallista; and nephew, Gavin. He is survived by his other siblings, Lisa (Jeff) Howerton, Tara (Jerry) Randleman and Stacey Billman. Also mourning his death are his many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his special caregivers, Andrea (David) Pesnell, Rachael Pesnell, Marsha Bowers, Amber Burgnone, and Dawn Stearns; his roommate, Brian Mackey; and his faithful dog, JoJo.
Chance was an inspiration to all who crossed his path and will be missed by all.
Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4511 Galloway Road, Sandusky.
