Judith Alexander Schultz, age 71, passed away at her home on Dec. 28, 2012, following a long struggle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Judy was born in Jamestown, N.Y. Sept. 2, 1941, but spent most of her life in the Columbus, Ohio area. She graduated with a degree in English education from The Ohio State University in 1963, where she was involved in student government and the Delta Delta Delta Sorority.
After a brief time as a teacher, Judy pursued a highly successful career as a Realtor, well known for her diligence and professionalism. Judy was an avid Buckeye and enjoyed attending events at The Columbus Academy where her husband taught for many years. Judy loved nothing more than spending time at the beach and was particularly fond of entertaining family and friends at her summer home on Cedar Point.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Edward and Reatha Alexander; and sister, Paula Alexander.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Louis A. Schultz; daughter, Carrie Meacham (Chris); grandchildren, Benjamin and Anne; sisters-in-law, Susan Schultz and Neill Ann Hancock (John); and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, (at Beecher Road), Gahanna, Ohio. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 313 N. State St., Westerville, Ohio. Private interment at St. Joseph’s cemetery.
