Ronald A. Pecek, 69, residing in Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, passed away early Friday morning, Dec. 28, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on March 3, 1943 in Cleveland to the late Albin J. and Mary (Klopcic) Pecek. Ronald graduated from Cathedral Latin High School in Cleveland.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion, Elyria Post.
Ronald is survived by his sister, Marilyn (Bob) Wetzel, of Bloomington, Ill.; niece, Michelle Wetzel, of Bloomington; nephew, Bob (Holly) Wetzel, of Minonk, Ill.; great-niece, Jasmine; and great-great-nephew, Emiliano.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant niece.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2 until military funeral services at 11:30 a.m. in the Ohio Veterans Home, Giffin Chapel, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Chaplain Paul Birmingham will officiate. Burial will follow in OVH Cemetery.
