Paul J. Arbogast, 90, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 23, 2012, in his home.
He married Florence S. Clouse on Sept. 7, 1946, in St. Mary Catholic Church, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 23, 1988.
He later married Lou Ann M. Shultz on Oct. 19, 1990, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, and she survives. Other survivors include three sons, Dean (Mary) Arbogast of New Riegel, Ohio, Karl (Rosemary) Arbogast of Virginia Beach, Va., Mark (Dorette) Arbogast of O’Fallon, Ill.; three daughters, Jane (Dan) Gildenmeister of Sandusky, Ruth Hawk of Mount Eaton, Ohio, Judy (Ralph) Shearn of Clyde; step daughters, Debra (Don) Weber of Huron and Nancy Virkler of Findlay.
He began working with Hossler Construction in Tiffin in 1949 and retired as the superintendent and estimator in 1990, dedicating over 40 years of development to the surrounding areas.
Friends may visit and share stories 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, where a wake service will begin at 8 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery with military honors conducted by the United Veteran’s Council.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Calvert Catholic Schools, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
