Peggy Bredbeck, 64, of Port Clinton, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton.
Peggy was born July 26, 1948, in Euclid, Ohio, to Marie (Wrentmore) and Martin V. Frye. On July 10, 1971, in Euclid, she married John D. Bredbeck and he survives.
Peggy was a fourth grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary Schools. She was active in the Port Clinton School District for more than 30 years having served as a teacher and on the school board. She will be greatly missed by her loving family, friends and students.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, John D. Bredbeck, of Port Clinton; daughter, Gretchen Bredbeck, of Minneapolis; sons, Todd (Katie) Bredbeck, of Houston, Texas, and Jeff Bredbeck, of Columbus; grandchildren, Oliver, Jonah, Eleanor and Simon; brother, Tom (Barb) Frye, of San Antonio; and brother-in-law, Lee (Natalie) Bredbeck.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton, where funeral services will be at 11a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27.
Memorial donations in memory of Peggy may be given to the Port Clinton City Schools Scholarship Fund.
