Donald E. Wadsworth

Mar 29, 1949 - Dec 10, 2012

Donald E. Wadsworth, 63, of Marblehead, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, in Cleveland.

Don was born March 29, 1949, in Port Clinton, to Richard and Joyce (Meter) Wadsworth.

Don was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Marblehead.

Don was proud to be a self-employed farmer and spent his entire life on the family farm. He was passionate about the land he tended and the things he grew. His love of farming was exceeded only by his love of God and family.

Don also loved his community. He spent many years delivering water around the Marblehead peninsula and sincerely cared for the people he met along the way.

He enjoyed dartball at his church and was active in many billiard leagues. It’s impossible to count the lives he touched and the people he affected. His passion for living life was remarkable and showed in everything he accomplished.

Don is survived by his mother, Joyce Wadsworth-Linder; daughter, Tina Wadsworth; sons, Richard and Robert Wadsworth; grandchildren, Cassy, Sara Jo, Shelby, Adam, and Audrey; sisters, Linda (Ted) Bresky and Cherilee (Jim) Walker; and sister-in-law, Diane Wadsworth.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Richard Wadsworth; stepfather, Frederick Linder; and brother, William “Bill” Wadsworth.

A Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Marblehead, with visitation one hour prior to services. Immediately following the service family and friends are invited to share in a celebration of Don’s life at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.
