Eugene Stamm, 80, of Medina, Ohio, passed away Dec. 4, 2012, surrounded by his family.
Eugene is survived by his wife of 60 years, Velma (Warner) Stamm; daughter, Ginni Lane, of West Virginia, and Barbara Yehnert, of Medina; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Stamm of Brunswick, Ohio; sister, Janet Dickman of Bay View; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Eugene was preceded in death by his sons, Curtis Edward and Eugene Raymond; daughter, Vickie Jo Stamm; parents, Frank and Ester Stamm; brothers, Robert and Richard Stamm; and brother-in-law, Duwayne Dickman.
Eugene was most proud of being one of the founding fathers of the Granger Volunteer Fire Department, serving as a fireman for several years. He retired from the International Union of Operating Engineers Union as a crane operator.
Eugene chose to donate his body to medical research to aide future caregivers’ training. Therefore, there will be no viewing or services.
In lieu of flowers, Eugene’s family suggests donations be made to the Granger Fire Department or in his name to the charity of your choice.
