Sonja S. Boggs, 71, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 2, 1941, in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Sonja loved reading, gardening, garage sales, shopping, the outdoors, and enjoying the arts. Spending time with her family and friends were most special to her.
She is survived by her husband, Russell; children, Mitch (Chris) Pappas, Pamela Chioromonte, Angela (Thomas) Benore, Charlie (Jeanne) Porter, Lance (Christy) Boggs, Rusty (Sandy) Boggs and Justin Haar; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sisters, Charlene Tommas, Anna Klontz, and Dona (William) Kocher; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Rodman II, who passed away Nov. 30, 2012; parents, Karl and Marjorie (Miller) Tommas; and a sister, Carla Westhofen.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, for Sonja and her son, Larry, until funeral services at 7 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
Memorial contributions may be made in Sonja’s name to Feed the Children, or to the Armed Forces Overseas donations.
