Lowell Taulbee, 73, of Bellevue passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, in his home.
He was born Feb. 6, 1939, in Mountain Valley, Ky., the son of Raymond and Loretta (Clemons) Taulbee.
Lowell served in the U. S. Air Force and was employed by Norfolk Southern as a carman for 31 years. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, spending time with his grandchildren, 4-wheeling in Kentucky and being in the woods.
He is survived by his wife, Allene (Risner), whom he married Aug. 22, 1970, in Clintwood, Va.; two sons, Lowell Allen (Stacy) Taulbee of Kentucky, Greg (Sara) Montgomery of Clyde; three daughters, Raelene (Jeff) Phipps of Bellevue, Terry (Tim) Fidler of Bellevue, Tammy (Tim) Moyer of Bellevue; grandchildren, Travis, Emerson and Zachary Taulbee, Lyndsey, Maddisyn, and Dawson Montgomery, Bryson, Kendall, Preston, Shayler, Caleb Phipps; Cody Fidler; and Justin, Kaylen, Erin, Kirsten and Brandon Moyer; and one brother, Darrell Taulbee of Frankfort, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Winston Taulbee.
Friends will be received 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Providence Baptist Church, 6994 Gardner Road, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery.
