William J. “Bill” Wadding Sr, 73, of Sandusky, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at his residence.
He was born March 19, 1939, in Indiana, Pa. He was employed by Chrysler for more than 30 years, retiring in 1991.
Bill was a member of AMVETS Post 17, Sandusky. He loved to work on automobiles and enjoyed using his C.B. radio. He moved many mobile homes throughout his lifetime.
Bill is survived his wife, Phyllis (Pocock) Wadding; daughter, Linda (Ronney) Wadding, of Castalia; sons, William Wadding Jr., Kenneth Wadding and Robert (Renée) Wadding, all of Sandusky, and Richard (Teresa) Wadding, of Indiana; stepchildren, Marsha Lyons and Eugene (Janet) Lyons, of Sandusky, William (Dana) Lyons, of Florida, Roxanne (Andy) Hardt, of Amherst, and Renée Lyons, of South Carolina; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; brothers, Carl Wadding, of Sandusky, and Harold Wadding, of Pennsylvania; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Emma (Lamar) Wadding; his first wife, Helen Louise Wadding; and a brother, Eugene Wadding.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, until funeral services at 10 a.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Mark Quillen will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
