Ralph A. Willis Sr., 89, residing in Huron, passed away late Wednesday afternoon, NOV. 28, 2012, in Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
Ralph was born May 6, 1923, in Cleveland, daughter of the late Ralph and Marilene (Mueller) Willis. Ralph was employed as a maintenance mechanic for Princeton Medical Center in New Jersey for 15 years. He also worked for Naples Hospital in Florida, and most recently for Gulf Coast Medical Center. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1942-46.
Ralph was a member of Huron United Methodist Church and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2529.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Rosalie K. (Krewson) Willis; his daughter, Rebecca W. (Bruce) Rookstool, of Huron; one son, Ralph A. (Betty) Willis Jr., of Fort Myers, Fla.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, until funeral services at 10:30 a.m. at Huron United Methodist Church, 338 Williams St. The Rev. Roger Skelley-Watts will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
