Joseph Bencivengo, 86, of Huron, passed away from a brief illness on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, with family members at his side in Providence Care Center, Sandusky.
Joe was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Farrell, Pa.
Joe enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on his 18th birthday and took part in the WW II Battle of Okinawa.
Joe was a member of St Peter Catholic Church and was a mason contractor who built many structures in the area including numerous motels and the multi-million dollar Brown estate on the shore of Lake Erie, near Vermilion.
Joe leaves his wife Vicki (Tata), of Huron; a daughter, Mary Ann, and granddaughter, Cassie, of Huron; brother, James Jr., of Henderson, Nev.; sisters, Carmel Longiotti, of Greenville, Pa., and Rosalie Shedd, of Hubbard, Ohio.
Preceding him in death were his parents, James and Lucy (Fortine) Bencivengo; a brother, Fred; a sister, Mary Lanciotti; and a brother, Raymond Bencivengo.

Joe will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
