Edna Baker, 98, of Sandusky, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, after a brief illness.
She was born in 1914, in Talladega, Ala., to Jerry and Ella (Hatten) Terrell. Edna attended school in Alabama and moved to Sandusky in 1952. She worked at various nursing homes in Sandusky before retiring. Edna became a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses congregation, where she remained faithful until her death.
She is survived by her only child, Hattie Nuby, Sandusky; grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Orlando, and Sonja Nuby, all of Sandusky; 20 great-grandchildren; a special great-great-granddaughter, Brailynn Wood; 13 other great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earnest Baker; 10 siblings; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 608 King St., Sandusky.
