Nicholas Menier, 77, of Marblehead, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
He was born Aug. 15, 1935, to Frank and Rose (Raffaele) Menier. He married Barbara Davis on Jan. 6, 1962, and she preceded him in death on June 4, 1986.
Mr. Menier was co-owner of Lakeview Bait Store, he owned Lakeview Distributing and he worked for the State of Ohio BMV as an examiner 3 from 1978 until his retirement in 1995.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead; Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree St. Joseph Counsel, Marblehead; and 4th Degree DeSoto Assembly Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his children, Christopher (Wendy) Menier, James (Cari) Menier and Lisa (Joseph) Kopp, all of Marblehead; and grandchildren, Dylan and Haley Menier and Sarah Kopp.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, James, Frank, John, Vito and Ralph Menier; and sisters, Angela Tomaselli and Mary Kinney.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, by the Rev. Dan Ring at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, where visitation will be from 9 a.m. until services. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Lakeside or Marblehead Vol. Fire Dept.
