Shirley M. Dubois, 89, of Sandusky, died Thursday morning, Nov. 22, 2012, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 12, 1922, in Sandusky and she would have been 90 years old this December on the 12th. Shirley was a graduate of Sandusky High School, and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sandusky. Her hobbies included watching Cleveland sports, crocheting, spending time with her family and she had a special love for dogs.
She is survived by one son, Jeff (Sharon) Dubois, of Huron; one daughter, Karen (Walter) Camp, of Tempe, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Kevin (Elizabeth) Camp, of Midvale, Utah., Drew (Tammy) Dubois, of Livonia, Mich., and Stephanie Dubois, of Huron; four great-grandchildren, Aidan Camp, Taylor Dubois, Isabella Dubois and Avalina Dubois; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Dubois in 1986; her parents, Arnold and Dorothy (Meyer) Kenne; four sisters; and two brothers.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where a a prayer service will be at 12:30 p,m. Mondaym, Nov. 26, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at Holy Angles Catholic Church, 1605 W. Jefferson St., Sandusky. The Rev. Joe Steinbauer will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
