Beverly J. Rogers, 67, of Bellevue, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at the Bellevue Care Center.
She was born March 29, 1945, in Bellevue, to Karl and Vera (Ruggles) Poths.
Bev graduated from Bellevue High School and Sandusky School of Practical Nursing. She had worked at Providence Hospital and the Bellevue Care Center until her retirement. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue. She also belonged to the Four-County Young at Heart, NARVRE, and the Tiffin Moose Lodge. She was proud to be a charter member of the Northern Buckeye Chorus of the Sweet Adeline’s for over 20 years.
On April 25, 1964, the Rev. T. Rene Meyers married Beverly and David L. Rogers at St. John’s Lutheran Church. David preceded her in death, Feb. 21, 2009.
Bev is survived by her children, Steve Rogers, Mike (Cortney) Rogers, and Tracy (Dave) Vannest, all of Bellevue; her grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Kassidy, Alex, Corinne, Emily, Christopher, and Ryan; and her sister, JoAnne Austin of Bellevue.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Bev was preceded in death by her twin daughters, Lisa Lynn and Lori Ann on March 26, 1965; and her daughter-in-law, Vikki Rogers.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue. Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bellevue. Rev. Juli Lejman-Guy will officiate and burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Monroeville.
Memorials may be given to Four-County Young at Heart, or to March of Dimes.
